Detailed Description

Square-matrix multiplication: M × M → M.

Associative by contract (matrices represent linear maps, and composition of linear maps is associative), but not commutative in general. The concept therefore only asserts closure of the product; callers must not assume a * b == b * a. Documented as a non-commutative linear composition, per the user-stated contract.
